The resort-style atmosphere of this
home is created with a wraparound
pool and high quality finishes.
xperts in designing spaces that are as
functional as they are visually appealing,
Debbie Taylor and Beverley Harrison
of Mondo Landscapes specialise in creating
outdoor areas that embrace the architecture
of the home and reflect the lifestyles of the
people who use them.
Their company is founded on a belief that a
garden is more than just an assemblage of plants
and flowers – it’s a place where friends and
family can come together.
Repeat business and referrals from past clients
are proof that customer satisfaction is the highest
priority for Mondo Landscapes.
CITY BEACH LANDSCAPE
A sense of tranquillity and calm is evoked
by this landscape. Every living zone inside
the house has a water view, a visual link that
provides intergration between the outdoors
space and the areas within.
Adjacent to the dining room is an outdoor
relaxation area on a natural timber platform,
which offers a slice of serenity for meditation by
the reflection pond. Here, water flows down over
the bisazza spillway, hitting the charcoal granite
to create a glistening effect in the pond below.
With their alternating levels and layers, the
swimming pool and reflection ponds add drama
and show the importance of the use of materials.
Using a neutral palette of creams, greys and
whites allows the natural textures of the timbers
and travertine to shine through.
The resort-style ambience of this outdoor
area is further enhanced by eye-catching features
such as Plumeria sp, which were craned in and
under-planted with Emerald Arch (Dianella
tasmanica) and Giant Rhoeo.
