ENTERTAINERS' GARDEN (above and right)
Lovers of food and entertaining, the owners
of this home required a garden where they
could host parties with panache.
e planting scheme includes a large half
circle of Sir Walter Buffalo lawn outlined by
the rough texture of charcoal cobble and an
African box hedge, which frames the garden.
Behind the hedge are ornamental pears with
evergreen giant creating a fountain effect of
foliage underneath. Beautiful frangipani is also
enclosed by the African box, creating a bold
splash of colour.
A series of interconnecting decks with grey
steppers and charcoal pebbles link the two
outdoor entertaining areas, while two water
features, with their soft trickling sound, provide
a sense of tranquillity.
e final result is a garden that fuses formality
and laidback tropical style from sunrise to sunset.
