the original garden
e owners had only recently moved into their
new home and found their garden didn't fit in
with the lifestyle they had pictured.
e original garden was overgrown and
shapeless. It seemed to be simply a large mound
of earth, covered with plants. A large, treated pine
gazebo took up a portion of the garden however it
wasn't waterproof which lessened its usability.
"Basically the garden had lost a lot of appeal and
a lot of it was unusable," says Mondo Landscape's
the client brief
e clients wanted a beautiful pool with a large
patio to host barbecues. To extend entertaining
opportunities, some decking was required and
a shed for additional storage was on the list.
e Mt Claremont location was ideal, but many
surrounding neighbours had two-storey homes
that overlooked the client's backyard.
Mondo Landscapes had to design a garden that
enhanced the garden and the home's privacy,
while creating a space for the owners and their
two children to enjoy.
Mondo Landscapes incorporated lush planting in the
design, including phoenix roebellinis, triangle palms and
golden cane palms. The new pavilion provides a fantastic
entertaining area, complete with a contemporary
barbecue featuring all the bells and whistles.
